Is Apprenticeship the Right Choice?

DLI4webMinnesota’s apprenticeship system offers an opportunity for a person with limited job skills to enter a high-wage industry, gaining experience and salary increases through on-the-job training and classroom instruction. The earn-while-you-learn system enables individuals to move to the top of the wage scale in three to five years.

Council OKs Blue Line Extension project scope and budget; cities are up next.

Map excerpt shows northern end of METRO Blue Line Extension.

Earlier this month the Council approved an updated project scope and nearly $1.5 billion cost estimate for the planned METRO Blue Line Extension LRT project. The scope and budget, which now includes 11 stations, was recommended for approval in November by the Corridor Management Committee. The project, often called Bottineau LRT, will extend the existing Blue Line from Target Field in downtown Minneapolis into the northwest suburbs. The project scope and budget now heads to each of the cities along the line for what’s called municipal consent.

State of Minnesota Veterans Priority of Service

Current or former military members, no matter the era of service, receive priority services in all Workforce Centers (WFCs) across the state. WFC staff provide the fastest, most-effective service possible – in person or online.
