This newly created position will serve as 50% employee benefit specialist, 45% general human resource specialist, and 5% miscellaneous assignments. Position performs work of moderate difficulty in the areas of local government recruitment, benefits, labor relations, employee orientation, compensation and records management, coordination of employee drug and alcohol testing, unemployment compensation, workers compensation, and provides related assistance with human resource processes within the organization. Job duties require the employee to access and use labor relations information and/or actively participate in the negotiations on behalf of the City. Hiring range is $57,577 – $60,045 DOQ. Position start date is July 10, 2019.
Desire a high level of integrity, positive communication skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field and three (3) years’ experience in employee benefits administration and/or generalist human resources. A combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge would be qualifying.
